A friend of mine was visiting Toronto and he made plans yesterday to have dinner at Drom Taberna ... I’m so glad he did!! It was my first time at this local gem but it won’t be the last!! The Eastern European atmosphere was boasting hospitality with sidewalk patios, live music , fantastic food and an exceptionally inviting waitstaff. We sat outside for a cocktail and dinner while listening to live music and enjoying the vibe. We met several servers throughout the evening and they made sure our drinks were cold and the food was hot - perfect!! We shared an order of pierogis (stuffed with cottage cheese and potato, breadcrumb crusted & served with sour cream) - they were incredible - YUMMMM! We also split an order of Cevapi (beef, veal and lamb chop kebabs with Balkan cream cheese, onions, red pepper and eggplant spread and a wood-fire baked flatbread) ... I had a full on MOUTHGASM!! OMG these were delicious and will be a forever staple on my future visits. They were tender and beyond tasty I can’t say enough about the flavour!! My friend, who had been there a few times prior, introduced me to one of the owners, Misha!! Fantastic, outgoing personality and he definitely went the extra mile to make sure we had an amazing experience - thank you!! We moved inside for a cocktail after dinner while the band was setting up for their next set. There was a 15 cover for the inside round well worth it to support the artists and enjoy the atmosphere. I found out they have several different bands playing at various times throughout the evening - hello!! The friendly atmosphere they have created here is reflected in the smiles and good energy from the patrons ... it was a perfect summer patio experience. I left there satisfied ... yet wanting more (of those kebabs!!) Having been in hospitality as a waiter and GM for 30 years, I can recognize and appreciate authentic, exceptional service! The staff are an extension of the management and both have hospitality on lockdown!! I’m going to have leave 10 stars here, 5 isn’t enough!! If you’re looking for an eclectic, unique and memorable night out, I highly recommend Drom Taberna for both locals and visitors! Cheers

Had a lot of fun here! Loved the place and the atmosphere; it’s a fun place to go and apparently they open early! So music is going to be the big star there; but their staff is also wonderful! Had such a great time! They have a variety of live music and for sure you will enjoy it if you are going with friends or even alone!
What a friendly place with great live music! The whole vibe was so cool, safe, welcoming. Loved all the water available for drinking in real (non-disposable) glasses. No pressure to drink alcohol. The staff was so kind. Nineteen year olds dancing along with fifty year olds - how cool is that? Can’t wait to be back and try their food!
My absolute favourite bar in the city. Live music all the time, they treat their employees well as far I can tell ( they have closed in the past to give a break to their staff) and great food and drinks. I absolutely love all the house infused vodkas they have. My eastern European blood is happy when I am here. It is a little pricey here but worth every penny (like I said they treat their employees well) and cover to see amazing music is always free (but they always make sure people pay for the amazing music with a tips hat) *Edit cover is now not always free, also the perogies are not great with their breading. I wish they did not add the breading

The patio is entirely covered by a huge tree, which helps add to the atmosphere. Live music, friendly and attentive staff, all around great vibes.
